Womanhood: Anonymous No More

I had the privilege to create a banner honoring Phương Tâm, a pioneering Vietnamese rock singer, for Womanhood: Anonymous No More, a project by the DTSJ Artist Residency.

Located outside of the Hammer Theater Center, at 101 Paseo De San Antonio between 2nd and, N 3rd St, San José, CA 95113.

Rock On, Phương Tâm!

24.5" x 52.75"

My banner honoring pioneering Vietnamese rock singer, Phương Tâm, draws heavy inspiration from Phương's Magical Nights album cover, pop art and rock band posters.

Focusing on bold colors and graphic linework, my goal was to design something that evoked the energetic and rebellious nature of Tâm's music.

This banner was created for the DTSJ Artist Residency, a pilot project presented by the Art Builds Community and Santa Clara County Office of Women's Policy; in partnership with the County of Santa Clara, and downtown San José, partly funded by the Abierto Program, a city of San José initiative.
